About us - 3 Counties Hydroponics

Established in 1991, we have the experience to confidently offer guidance to both new and experienced soil-less gardeners alike. We don't think our competitors can beat our knowledgeable advice, efficient service or great prices! 

We first started off in Henley-on-Thames, Oxon as an alternative to the majority of the people in the hydroponics industry who saw hydroponics as a way to exploit people by charging rip off prices and misleading people of the unrealistic yields that they could expect by purchasing their overpriced products.

We allow people to purchase quality hydroponics equipment from a reliable and impartial retailer whilst also offering the lowest possible prices. Unlike many other retailers we do not try and sell you products that offer us the biggest profit margin. We stock a wide variety and offer our honest opinion on any product that you enquire about and the advise we give out is gained from our own and customers experiences and not from our wholesalers and manufacturers sometimes overstated claims.

We have sold hydroponics equipment to a wide range of different organisations such as  universities, schools, hospitals, airports, nurseries and even oil refineries. Our most celebrated sale being to the BBC Gardener's World tv programme when on the tenth of June 2005, they featured hydroponics and after asking our advise all the hydoponic kit seen on the programme was supplied by us.

We have built our business on appreciating our customers and giving them the best possible service and that is why they return to us time after time.

At present we have a 1200 square foot shop situated in Dundee, Scotland and a 700 square foot shop in  Reading, Berkshire. Our original shop in Henley is now used as our offices. We keep lots of stock and we aim to satisfy all our shop visitors and provide next day delivery on all internet/telephone orders.
