The SmartTray
system has been introduced by AutoPot Europe Ltd, to meet the demands of
the domestic grower for a low cost and a low maintenance alternative to
NFT systems. A single SmartValve that regulates the flow of water to the
tray controls
the feeding and watering each SmartTray.
By growing in pots the grower has the full
advantage of being able to remove and change plants when and where
necessary. Plants can be lifted from one system to another with ease and
without causing stress to the plant. The use of pots offers the grower
with a wider choice of potting mediums such as soil mixes, coco fibre,
Rockwool, Perlite, Vermiculite and combinations of each.
Extending and expanding the SmartTray system can be done with ease at
any time. Simply use connecting Tees and join to the existing 4mm pipe
of the system in use.Pots: varying amounts and sizes of pots are
supplied with the SmartTray modules, this is dependent of the SmartTray
required.

AutoPak Kits
The AutoPak
1 Potkit is a single 15 litre pot and tray, which has a separate cavity
for the SmartValve. The 1 Pot unit has the added advantage of providing
the user with 2 choices of water depth, 25mm and 40mm and also the
advantage of a built in overflow for improved operation outdoors.
The 1 Potkit is extremely versatile and can be
used for a wide range of plant types and sizes. Seasonal flowering
plants and perennial shrubs thrive and produce an abundance of blooms
and foliage because of the constant even watering and feed they receive
via the SmartValve.
The AutoPak 1 and 2
Pot kits can be easily extended by adding as many modules as required
and connecting one to the next via 4mm or 13mm pipe and Tee connecters.

CapPlus
Table
The AutoPot CapPlus
Capillary Table provides the greenhouse gardener
and commercial grower with a new versatile irrigation system. The
CapPlus table has a SmartValve incorporated within it, which controls
the flow of water to the plants. The table can be irrigated using any of
the following three methods:
Gravity fed
from a water butt
Pressure reduced mains
Using the SmartPump set
The CapPlus tables can be supplied with or without legs depending on the
customer's preference. The CapPlus tables can be used on existing
benches, be placed on crates or used with the standard legs. They can
even be used directly onto the floor. However you choose to set up your
capillary table, one crucial point needs to be observed. This is that
every table needs to be flat and level across both the length and width
of the table. This is best achieved by using a spirit level.
Once connected to a
water supply the SmartValve will open and flood the channels to a
level of 40mm and stop. The water is then drawn up to the surface of the
table by capillary action via the capillary matting. The matting must
first be wetted by hand. Pots and trays can now be placed onto the
table; these should have been well watered before putting them onto the
table. The plants will then draw up the water and the levels in the
channels will drop. The SmartValve will remain closed until all the
water has been completely used. At this point the SmartValve will
re-open to fill the channels.
CapPlus capillary tables are ideal for edible crops or ornamental
plants; the choice is entirely up to the grower. By using the CapPlus
tables, the grower is assured that whatever plant is being raised or
grown on the tables, the irrigation of the plants is completely taken
over by the unique action of the Capillary Table and the SmartValve
incorporated within it. By using the CapPlus tables the grower will
benefit in many ways. Labour cost will be dramatically reduced by up to
60%, as every drop of water supplied is used by
the plants. This makes the CapPlus Capillary Table a very
environmentally friendly product because there is no run off or leakage.
The greenhouse gardener is also assured that long periods of absence
will not affect the performance of the system, if a water supply is
constantly available the system will perform as it is expected to.

SmartBasket
The amazing AutoPot Hanging Basket is the only hanging basket in the
world that will water the
plants on demand by taking advantage of the unique plant driven watering
method which the SmartValve provides. Each hanging basket has its own
SmartValve that will respond to the needs of the plants in the basket
individually.
The hanging baskets
come complete with a short length of 4mm pipe, with a 4mm tap on the
end. The tap will allow easy connection and disconnection to the main
pipe system. Simply push fit the 4mm pipe on to the 4mm tap attached to
the hanging basket. The saucer the SmartValve sits in will fill to a
level of 25mm and stop. Through capillary action the solution is drawn
up by the medium and utilised by the plant. When the water in the saucer
has been exhausted, the SmartValve will open and refill to 25mm, as long
as there is a constant water supply, the hanging basket will irrigate
the plants contained in it perfectly.
Hanging baskets are
available in two colours, Green and Terracotta. Unlike traditional
hanging baskets, the AutoPot Hanging Basket will provide the user with
up to 20 years of trouble free irrigation. All the components are made
from high quality injection moulded plastic which means they will not
deteriorate
Choose to either hang the basket in the traditional manner by the use of
the chains provided, or mount on walls, posts, or beams via the hoop
brackets. Use hanging baskets under window ledges to create versatile
'window box' type displays. They can even be sunk into the ground. There
are over fill drainage holes incorporated into the design of the hanging
baskets that will ensure your basket is not over watered on rainy days.
