For your garden to perform at its peak, you must keep your nutrient solution between 65 and 70 degrees. Heating the nutrient solution during cool months will help boost plant performance. For every 10 degree F increase in nutrient solution heat, the rate of photosynthesis doubles. Do not let the nutrient solution rise higher than 85 degrees F. Also cold water can shock plants creating a chemical imbalance causing stunted growth and reduced yields.
